A Fresh Start

I have not been blogging much since I've been at uni, but now i'm really determined to document my adventures this year, and what better time than 1st Jan... a new year.

Future Plans

So this year I'm going to be in my final year at university. There are a few things that I'd really like to do when I leave uni. These are;

1. Graduate with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Business Management
2. Get a job
3. Learn to Drive (Although this may be started/completed in my final year)
4. Buy my own house

The next few are less important, but things I would like to purchase when I start earning money;

4. Buy something Mulberry - whether that be a handbag or purse, I'll see what they have at the time, but to be honest I like so many products in there! Even considered a £60 silver keyring with an engraved classic mulberry tree, although I can't justify spending that much on a keyring when I'm still a jobless student.
5. Buy something Louis Vuitton (Possibly from Paris) - I already own a handbag which originally belonged to my mum's boyfriend's ex wife - but I'm not sure if it is real or not.

I've always liked designer brands and products but I've never been able to afford them, I see the time where I am in work as an opportunity to enjoy luxury things bought with money I have earnt myself.

Recycling Clothes & Possible Blog sale?

I've always wondered why there wasn't some magical place where you could sell your clothes back to somewhere for like half of what they are worth or something! But since such a place doesn't exist, I've decided to see how my clothes would fair selling on ebay.

I didn't think I'd get very much for my pieces, but it turns out that they aren't doing too bad! I sold a few Primark tops for like £6 when they probably cost me that in the first place!

So now I've decided whenever I want something new, I've got to find old things to sell to the value of the new thing(s)! I spent £90 on clothes the other day (which I'll do a little haul on in a few days) and I currently have made £45 from old clothes! So still got a little way to go, but it's fun!

I think the lady in the post office will start to hate me! I posted 5 things the other day! She's grumpy anyway!

I was considering selling my Armani Diamonds Perfume gift set that I got for Christmas, and maybe seeing how it does here, but since I haven't blogged in such a long time, I'm not sure how many people would look!

Comment below if you think I should do a blog sale of my clothes and bits and bobs, I might have some makeup stuff that I could sell too.

Changing Hair colour?

Right, over the last month I have been trying to dye my hair dark blonde. First I pre-lightened it which turned it bright orange with white blonde patches and some brown bits too! So I was very scared! Then I used a dark blonde dye and it went a kinda brassy ginger colour but I've been using John Freida's violet colour correcting mousse and it seems to help but then my housemates were teasing me saying it was starting to look green! So then I dyed it this colour;

106 Natural Medium Ash Blonde (left)

Next time I'm considering dying it 101 Shade Natural baby blonde because maybe then it will look like 106 is supposed to! but comparing the two colour samples, they look almost identical? Although below (right) is the colour I got when I used 106.

I'm not sure if I want to dye it again or leave it this colour and use a home highlighting kit to introduce blonde into my hair.

A year break?!

I can't believe it's been so long since I last had a blog post! I've been so busy with uni that blogging fell to the back of my mind! But now I'm really hoping that I'll remember to blog more now because it's something that I really used to enjoy!

New Look + H&M Haul

Hiyaaa, sorry it's been so long, I lost my campus card last week which was a bit of a pain D: I left it in the nightclub.

Right, so first I'm going to start with what I've bought recently.

I have been wanting these dresses for soooo long but I've always said to myself that they were too much. When I saw these on sale I knew I had to have them straight away! They're gorgeoussss and they both tie together at the back into a bow. Soo cute and a bargain price, it just shows that it pays to wait a little while!

This is the coat that I was talking about in my previous post. I LOVE this coat. It's real leather and I'm so surprised that i found this for only £25! what made it even better was I had a £20 voucher for christmas so actually I only paid £5! The fur can also be removed so you can just wear it as a leather jacket if you wanted to.

I like this skirt because it's got a zip at the back and because it feels more secure and like it will stay in place than my £3.99 jersey skirt from H&M which kept riding up too much!

I promiseee!!

Right,

I REALLY need to get back into blogging! I miss it, but then somehow I always get distracted!
I am going to go to sleep soon (hello messed up body clock!) and make writing a blog post high on my to-do list!!

Thing is, when I got back to uni, I had major drama with my room, because although it sounds stupid, I'm convinced somebody stole my duvet... I thought I must have left it at home, but my mum is sure... then I found the evidence! I found a massive false nail, back of an earring and claires accessories tag on by bed which definately wasn't mine!! I called security and was understandably upset... How could this have happened... 4th floor, locked door, no signs of forced entry and also security did a key audit (it's all jazzy and we have key cards) so they can see exactly when you opened your door and such.. but there's no trace of anyone being in my room which is so weird!!! I've given the evidence to the head of security but it's been over a week and I've heard nothing D:


I've also had a fish finger stealer D: and people who use my cutlery! it's really getting on my nerves now! Here's a picture of a note I left on the fridge :)

I'm really excited because I can share some of my christmas presents (yes, I know it's a bit late :P) and exciting things from a Haul the other day, including a massive bargain leather (yes really!) aviator jacket on sale for £25!

I'm Alive!

Firstly, I'd just like to apologise to all my followers who haven't heard anything from me from October! I've been so busy with uni stuff (and partying!) that I have forgotten about my love of blogging :(

I would like to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and I hope everyone gets some really nice gifts :D I've asked for a pair of GHDs since I've only ever nicked the ones that Mum has used but now I'm at uni, I'm really missing her GHDs! I'm secretly hoping that she's got me the midnight collection one with the posh box and everything, but I'd be really happy with just the straightners too :)

Also, I'd like to introduce to you my new hair colour!
Today I took the plunge and decided to dye my hair with "casting creme gloss" which lasts 28 washes which i'm sure that you will all be familar with! I chose the shade 454 (Chocolate Brownie) and these are the results, a lovely brown with red tones:

Uni Life! ♥

Right so I've been at uni for a wholee month now! And I'm really loving it :)

The only thing is that I don't have a full length mirror so I can't do OOTD posts anymore... And I'm so busy all the time that I just don't have time for blogging. But I promise this will change everyone :D even if it's just once a week at the weekend.

For now I will leave you a few pics of where I'm living now at Surrey University, and also a couple of pics of me on nights out :)

This is the kitchen that I share with 5 other people. Although where I live is lovely, I've started to realise that I wish I lived on campus because there is only 6 people to a flat, and I've been put with international students x.x;;

This is the "back to school" night out. To demonstrate the awkwardness of the living situation, not a single person in this picture lives in the same flat as me!

This was taken before the ministry of sound night out on friday :) I got very drunk and dragged a traffic cone up to my room which startled me a little in the morning! :P

Don't you just love it when your new jeans get a giant split? (+Haul)

I went down town to take back a pair of jeans from new look that ripped horribly when I was out bowling with friends. Luckily they split after I was bowling (well I think they did... I only noticed in KFC afterwards). I was also lucky that my top could stretch and cover it up! I'd just thrown away the receipt cause I didn't think I'd need it, but I knew I would probably be able to exchange it... apart from the fact they didn't have any identical jeans in my size so picked up a different style I liked for the same price... The woman said it had to be exact and I explained that there was none left at which point she went to find some for me.. she came back with a pair and said that they were the same leg length but when I got home I discovered that it wasn't the same leg length at all!! Right, now onto the things I bought

I like this! It's very vintage with the chiffon and little bow, would wear it with a nice pair of jeans and heels for a smart/casual night out I think! I thought it would also look nice with this pinky pearl necklace which I got from Mood@Debenhams reduced from £12 to £3.60! Wowwww :)

I love this! It looks really nice with a pair of skinny jeans and heels for a night out I think! I love the lace detail. I've never seen this on sale at £6 in that store, so I was delighted when it was marked down to £3!

I love this! It looks much better on than it does on the hanger! I was actually looking for a dress that my friend has, they had one there but being TK maxx, they don't have everything in different sizes and this was a size 12:( I rang up a different TK maxx and they apparently didn't have one either =[ I will still be looking though!

Room Redecoration: MISSION COMPLETE!

Ahhh,
Sorry for the delay, I did say that I was going to schedule the post for saturday but thenn I got a tummy bug which I still have =[ It's making it very hard to sleep cause I have a really bad tummy ache! Anywaysss, the long awaited room pictures!

The little wardrobe is from Ikea. It's the only one that had a length of 75cms which fitted that space of wall which was 77cms pretty much perfectly. It's a children's wardrobe but I think it gives the perfect opportunity to show off the pretty decorative boxes at the top and they're easy to reach :) (Cost £90)


The dresser is not finished yet, it needs a bit of "distressing" to give it the shabby chic feel.... We were also planning to paint the wardrobe the same colour but since I only have a week left, I don't know if that is going to happen now.

I love this mirror! It has the same kinda design as the wallpaper with the little dots! I bought it from ebay for £65.

Even though I'm off to uni, it will still be nice to come home to a nice room at christmas :) Especially as my mum wants me to start paying rent!!

ZARA has an online store! :o

I don't know if any of you have heard, but I'm sooo excited about Zara going online! I could literally buy most of the stuff from there! It's all very vintage and the quality is amazing.

I'm sorry I haven't been doing any posts lately, I've been redecorating my room, and helping out wherever I can cause practically the whole house is getting a revamp...

A level Results!!

Hiya everyone! I just wanted to let you know that I got my A level results yesterday.
Dun Dun Dunnnn!!

I got ABB!

This means a place at Surrey Uni! I've got really nice accomodation at a place called Manor Park with an ensuite and they all look like newbuilds soo yeaaaah!

Also, I was at a party tonight. My friend Matt's 18th. Here's a picc:

Roooom Redecoration!

I plan to have my room redecorated this summer, although some people may see it as a stupid time to do it since I'm (hopefully...) going to be living at uni (results on thursday!) but I heard uni breaks are like.. 3 months long.

The plan is to make it very french chic :) I want to start working on sanding down the dressing table this weekend. We're going to paint it gold underneath, and cream over the top so that when the cream paint starts to wear off, it will show through the gold underneath! So excited.

Next thing I need is a venetian mirror and a stool :) I'm getting a smaller bed and getting more shelving so I can have a proper waldrobe. I'm very excited ♥

I don't really have much beauty products to talk about, since i'm on a one week ban cause of the eye surgery :( But rest assured I will be buying more. I've got my eye on a Sleek Contour Palette, last time I went to find it, there was only one light one left, and the packaging was a bit battered. I also want to try and get some more Max Factor lippies since I'm in love with the one I have and they're currently 3 for 2 :D

On other news, I've recently got into playing the sims 2 again. Anyone else still play it? :P Just wondering!

Storage & Oxford Street Haul

Hiii,

Firstly, I'm excited to talk to you about my new storage boxes! If you read my last post about winning my dressing table on ebay, I'm sure most of you will know I'm having a bit of a revamp of my room! yaaaay ♥

yay, I thought this was very delicate and fitting with all that I want my room to be :)
Next, it's onto the storage boxes I bought.
I had a massive clear out and found that it would be quite nice to keep things from my past in a "memory box" and I knew that TK maxx would be the perfect place to find some of these wonderfully recreated vintage boxes. (obviously they aren't real vintage if they are in tk maxx :P) it was £9.99.

I also found this beauty reduced to £2! How on earth could I leave this in the shop? It's so cutee :)

I made it into a bead box (I discovered I had a lot of beads!) :

Here is the bigger version, reduced to £4. I don't know what I'm going to use this one for right now, but I'm sure that I will find a use for it one day (soon!)

I also wanted a box for everyday bits and bobs such as my daily moisturiser, hairbrush, ipod, camera. Just a general place to store general items really! I thought this case would be really pretty and feels lovely. Cost me £12.99 which I think it really good because it feels like a lovely material (you might be able to see closer if you click the picture below) Also the name is signed "Emily" which is closeeee (just not quite) my name :P

Oxford Street Haul

I don't know if I mentioned or not, but I went for laser eye surgery in West London right near to Oxford street. Although we couldn't shop on the day of surgery (which went very well), we had to get a train back for a check the next day so we decided to shop then. I picked up a few bits in Zara, DP and Primark:

I love this so much! It reminds me of the clothes women used to wear in WW2? I think. I adoree it! And it's a really trendy colour this season ♥

I really love this! it's very vintage style with the bow and the colours. I just love it. And it's such a bargain at £1, you'd pay that if not a little bit more in Primark :P

I love this skirt! It's the second skirt I own and it's so girly and feminine, I just love it! You can get some really impressive stuff in primark right now :)

I loved this from the moment I saw it which is really strange considering it is quilted. I usually feel that most quilted bags are really chavvy, as that's what you see everyone in at the local town, however, I think this appeals to me because it's not fully quilted, it's got a cute tied bow at the side and adjustable gold chain - Long to go over your body, or doubled up to go over one shoulder. I also like that on the inside there are 2 sections, because I always panic about where my purse is, I also like that it's small so I don't feel tempted to pack it out too much! I also really like the pink colour, it's not in your face like the black plastic ones i've seen and such :)

I saw this on the wall and loved the colour. It's in shade Mocha-Tallic which is gorgeous. You can see it on my nails above however you will notice that it looks very thin and a little streaky but after a few coats it looks better. I've always found that these nail polishes have been better than other brands, they dry quick and look fab, even beats No 7 polishes which are more than triple the price.

It's just a plain nude belt, there's not really much to say about it other than it's nice and will compliment some outfits :P
